Roy found CrossFit in 2010. He started with an 8-month internship before he was allowed to take his Level 1. Roy started coaching because his initial feeling towards CrossFit was that he hated it; his first WOD was 100 burpees for time. Soon after, Roy realized what he hated about it was that he couldn’t hide his inadequacies- not only did his fitness need to be challenged, but his mentality also needed to be challenged. 3 months into CrossFit, Roy knew he was committed to his overall growth, and he wanted to help others do the same.
